The legendary rule applies only to legendary creatures that have the same name. The "planeswalker uniqueness rule" is going away.
Planeswalker cards are shuffled into your deck at the start of the game, just like any other card. That means if you had a Nicol Bolas out, then tried to play another, they would both go to the grave by state based action.
With the introduction of the planeswalker card type during the Lorwyn block the following rule was introduced: 704.5j If a player controls two or more planeswalkers that share a planeswalker type, that player chooses one of them, and the rest are put into their owners’ graveyards.This is called the “planeswalker uniqueness rule.” Under the new rules, if a player controls more than one legendary planeswalker with the same name, that player chooses one and puts the other into their owner's graveyard.
The Rule of Law. In short, everything that's true about legendary creatures will now be true about legendary planeswalkers.
You can cast a Planeswalker during either main phase of your turn (or any other time you could cast a sorcery spell). A Planeswalker is a permanent, so when a Planeswalker spell you control resolves, it enters the battlefield under your control. The Planeswalker rule however, says you can't have two planeswalkers with the same planeswalker subtype. What does this mean?
